Shop ‘til You Drop at These Georgia Shopping Hot Spots

One of the best things about moving to Atlanta or any of its lovely suburbs is having so many outstanding retail destinations to check out. Here are nine of my top recommendations:

Ann Mashburn and Sid Mashburn
1198 Howell Mill Road, Suites 112 (Ann) and 110 (Sid), Atlanta, GA 30318

Ann and Sid Mashburn are authorities when it comes to all things style. Visit their adjacent women’s and men’s retail outlets at the west side of Atlanta and you will see what I mean.

Both of these sophisticated shops present exquisitely curated selections of clothing, shoes, and accessories that are designed, sourced, and produced by the couple. They also house iconic and hard-to-find pieces that fit their timeless fashion sensibilities like timepieces and jewelry.

Both stores offer “Made-to-Measurement” services that guarantee only the best fit for your best items of clothing.

City Issue
325 Elizabeth Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30307

Established in 2000, City Issue is one of Atlanta’s most reliable destinations for mid-century modern-style furniture, art, and home décor. With a client base that stretches across the United States, this leading furniture store is larger than its Inman Park location might first seem.

Visit this store for exceptional authentic pieces from the 1950s through the 1970s, all sourced from their original East Coast-based owners. Drop by after Thursday for the latest great finds added to the inventory.

Fig & Flower
636 North Highland Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30306

This socially responsible beauty bar is your one-stop-shop for natural, eco-friendly cosmetics and wellness products. Fig & Flower’s raison d’être is to make sure that you do not only look your best, but feel your best as well. You can find everything for your makeup, skincare, hair, and hygiene needs – plus the peace of mind that each item is free from potentially harmful ingredients and materials.

Found Co. Decatur
335 West Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, GA 30030

One of the most dazzling places you can visit for artful, sophisticated items for the home, this downtown Decatur store is a gift shop, garden, and apothecary all at the same time.

Come here for rustic home décor, tabletop wares, coffee table books, and small furnishings that are sure to add a distinct touch of the natural and organic into your living space. Gorgeous orchid arrangements and terrariums, as well as lotions and aromatherapy products, are also available here.

Highland Row Antiques
628 North Highland Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30306

Find an astonishing array of 20th-century antiques and vintage furniture in more than 10,000 square feet of space at this exquisite shop. The eclectic selection boasts of a fun mix of high-end furnishings to quirky, unconventional “junk.” Since 2004, Highland Row has grown its reach with a network of more than 25 antique dealers dealing in furniture, lighting, décor, fashion, and fine art.

Kudzu Antiques
2928 East Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, GA 30030

If you are into antiques, the ‘Zu will surely be right up your alley. This shop has built a sterling reputation as one of Metro Atlanta’s leading antique stores, coming a long way since its humble beginnings in 1979.

Kudzu’s Decatur location is a sprawling, 25,000-square-foot exhibition of top finds sourced from approximately 100 Metro Atlanta-based antique dealers. Find expertly preserved collectibles, indoor and outdoor furniture, and home décor pieces coming from various design eras. From vintage, to mid-century and retro, to contemporary, Kudzu has it all.

Treehouse Kid & Craft
533 West Howard Avenue, Suite A, Decatur, GA 30030

Creativity, imagination, and play flourish in this family-run kid’s store and creative space. Step inside and let the bright colors, friendly shapes, and diverse selections of items and activities lift your spirits like no other place can. Various toys, clothing, and supplies are available for sale, while classroom space hosts various activities that promote creative thinking, problem-solving, and hands-on learning.

Treehouse Kid & Craft also has an Athens, GA location.

Young Blood
632 North Highland Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30306

Offering jewelry, accessories, ceramics, fragrances, and even artful flower arrangements, Young Blood is as eclectic and creative as up-and-coming boutique stores go. Artists and creators from across the United States showcase and sell their wares at this independent store that proudly celebrates the limitless spirit of creativity and community.
