The home was commissioned by cotton brokerage heirs Emily and Edward Inman primarily for entertaining friends and family.

  5. The Fox Theatre
    660 Peachtree St NE
    Atlanta, GA 30308

Built in 1928, a campaign saved this building from the wrecking ball in the 1970s. It was initially created for the Shriners organization, which took inspiration from the old temples in the Far East and envisioned a mosque-style building similar to the Temple of Kharnak in Egypt and the Alhambra in Spain. The building’s exterior is marked by gold leaf details and luxurious textiles. Spectacular minarets, domes, and archways set it apart from other buildings in Atlanta’s skyline.
